Breaking Down Siloed Project Data: ProjectSight Integrates with Pype

Siloed data is a major roadblock for construction project teams using new construction technology. To help break down those barriers and streamline data flow, Trimble is committed to forming robust and comprehensive integrations with the rest of your tech stack.

Recently, we’ve worked with Pype construction software to create a seamless integration between their software and ProjectSight. Pype helps you closely manage specifications, using AI to identify potentially missing submittals and automating workflows to increase efficiencies.

“At Trimble, we define connected construction as the ability to deliver the right data to the right people at the right time.”

A new integration between ProjectSight and Pype allows contractors to take advantage of the capabilities of both software suites and easily move data between them. “At Trimble, we define connected construction as the ability to deliver the right data to the right people at the right time,” says Matt Sprague, senior product marketing manager at Trimble. “We have a clear vision for connected construction, and integration with Pype will accelerate that.”
ProjectSight and Pype Work Together

How Do ProjectSight and Pype Work Together?

ProjectSight and Pype have diverse and complementary capabilities. ProjectSight’s software encompasses all aspects of project management, from drawings to field management. Pype’s software includes three components: AutoSpecs, an automatic submittal log generator; SmartPlans, which uses advanced AI to identify potentially missing submittals; and Closeout, which automates the document collection process to help you prepare a polished package for your client.

Here’s what integration between the two might look like: you’re building an Excel sheet after creating the log. With the integration in place, you can upload a set of specs within the Pype AutoSpec software, narrow them down to what you want to focus on, and with a few clicks, automatically generate the submittal log in ProjectSight. You can also carry out batch imports and create customized automations to look out for duplication errors. Ultimately, implementing ProjectSight and Pype together increases efficiency and gives your team members more time to leverage their knowledge and expertise.

How Time-Intensive is the Integration Process?

Integrating ProjectSight with Pype is a quick and simple process. “It can be implemented in a matter of hours, not days or weeks,” says Satyam Verma, senior associate for strategic partnerships and alliances at Pype. “And if you’re new to Pype, our software is very user friendly and can be up and running in about 30 minutes.” If you need customizations, the Pype and ProjectSight teams are happy to work with you to design and implement those.
